Non-Numeric Calibration Error Messages

Error Message Possible Cause/Subsystem Possible Solution

An underrun error occurred during
communications to the following
device.
•The cable between the printer
and the host computer is worn.
•One or more of the connections
between the printer and the host
computer has malfunctioned.
•Check that all cables are properly
connected.
•Check the cables and
connections between the printer
and the host computer for wear
and, if necessary, replace them.
An UNKNOWN error occurred
during communications to the
following device.
An unknown error occurred in the
application. •Restart the calibration application.
•If the problem continues, make
sure that the Calibration
Application and ASPI SCSI
device driver are installed
correctly.
Device not found. The host computer attempted to
contact the printer at the specified
SCSI ID but did not get a response.
•Make sure that the printer is
turned on and is on-line.
•Make sure that the Calibration
Application and ASPI SCSI
device driver are installed
correctly.
Invalid Device ID. The host computer attempted to
contact the printer at the specified
SCSI ID but did not get a response.
Make sure that the printer is turned
on and is on-line.
The following device is busy. The printer at the spe cified SCSI ID
is busy. Check that all cables are properly
connected.
The following device is closed. The connection between the printer
and host computer was lost. Chec k that all cabl es are properly
connected.
