Camera
Problem Cause Solution
Shutter button does
not work.
Camera is not turned on. Turn on the camera
(page 5).
The camera is
processing a picture, the
viewfinder light is
blinking.
Wait until the light stops
blinking before attempting
to take another picture.
The card is full. Transfer pictures to your
computer (page 50), delete
pictures from the card
(page 34), or insert a card
with available memory.
Batteries do not
hold a charge; low
battery icon
appears even
though the Battery
Pack has been
charged in the
Camera Dock
Ni-MH batteries may not
charge to full capacity
the first time they are
charged, or after a long
period of non-use.
Repeat the charging cycle
until the combined charge
time is 2 hours (page 59).
Part of the picture
is missing.
Something was blocking
the lens when the
picture was taken.
Keep hands, fingers, or other
objects away from the lens
when taking pictures.
Your eye or the picture
was not centered
