Relay Initiate
Relay TX allows the operator to make one long distance call to a remote unit and the remote unit will relay the message to one or more fax units in the local area. With this function, you can save valuable time and telephone charges. This function can also instruct the remote fax machine to send an TX Result report to one of its Speed Dial locations.
The following conditions must be met for Relay Initiate function:
•The fax on the receiving party is either Lanier 5415, 12XX, or 20XX.
•The receiving party must register the One Touch key or Group dial key for relay function.
•The receiving party must register one Speed Dial for send report.
Using Relay Initiate1 Place the original document in the Document Feeding Tray.
2 Press the "Function" key.
3 Press ‘7’ to select “RELAY INITIATE TX”. A message appears confirming the selection.

The display prompts the message to ask you the relay group number registered in the Initial station.
6 Use the Keypad to input the two digit
7 Press the "Yes" key.
The display prompts the message to ask you the Speed Dial number (registered in the relay station) for where to send the TX result report.
8 Use the Keypad to input the two digit Speed Dial number that should receive the TX Results Report.You can set
9 Press "Yes" key to begin transmitting. Your document is scanned into memory and sent to the Relay station.
Note: If the Relay Group No. at remote unit is not registered, it will send a error report according to the speed Dial No. setting at remote unit. If the speed Dial No. at remote unit is not registered no reports will be generated.
