Select one of the following six types to match your originals:

When the original type keys are not displayed

APress [Original Type].

BSelect the original type, and then press [OK].

❖ Text

Select this mode when your origi-

nals contain only text (no pictures).

❖Text/Photo

Select [Text / Photo] when your orig- inals contain photographs or pic- tures with text.

❖Photo

Delicate tones of photographs and pictures can be reproduced with this mode.

❖Pale

Select this mode for originals that have lighter lines in pencil, or for faint copied slips. The faint lines will be clearly copied.

❖Generation Copy

If your originals are copies (gener- ation copies), the copy image can be reproduced sharply and clearly.
