Using the Macro ()

1. The macro mode is used to take a close-up photos up to 8 inches. Slide the macro switch from Standard to Macro mode. The " " icon appears on the LCD monitor.

2. Press the on/off " " button. The camera will beep.

NOTE

In the macro mode, the flash will be turned off.

Adjusting the Exposure Compensation

Adjust the exposure compensation setting to obtain the optimum image brightness (Exposure) when the subject is much brighter or darker than the background.

1. Press the "EV" button to get into the Exposure Value mode. The exposure compensation bar will appear on the LCD monitor.

2.Press the "" or "" button. The brightness of the

subject will be adjusted according to the exposure value. You can see the change on the LCD monitor.

3.Press the “OK" button to exit.

NOTE

The settings can be adjusted in 1/2 increments in the range

of -2.5EV~+2.5EV. The higher the value, the greater the exposure (brightness).
