•Whentheacpoweradapterisnotinuse,disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpoweradaptertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedto
thetr ansformer.
•Beforeyouchargethebattery,ensurethatitstemperatureisatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterywhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandthebatteryis
installed.Youneedtochargeitinanyofthefollowingconditions:
–Whenyoupurchaseanewbattery
–Ifthebatterystatusindicatorstartsblinking
–Ifthebatteryhasnotbeenusedforalongtime
ChargingthebatteryWhenyoucheckbatterystatusandndthatthepercentageofpowerremainingisloworwhenthepower
alarmalertsyouthattheremainingpowerislow,youneedt ochargeyourbatteryorreplaceitwitha
chargedbatt ery.
Ifanacoutletisconvenient,plugtheacpoweradapterintoit,andtheninsertthejackintothecomputer.
Thebatterywillbefullychargedinabout3to6hours.Thechargingtimeisaffectedbythebatterysize
andthephysicalenvironment.Youcancheckthebatterychargingstatusatanytimebylookingatthe
batterymetericonattheWindowsnoticationarea.
Note:T oincreasethelifeofthebattery,thecomputerdoesnotstartrechargingthebatteryiftheremaining
powerisgreaterthan95%.
MaximizingbatterylifeTomaximizethelifeofthebattery,dothefollowing:
•Usethebatteryuntilthechargeiscompletelydepleted;thatis,usethebatteryuntilthebatterystatus
indicatorstartsblinkingorange.
•Rechargethebatterycompletelybeforeusingit.Thebatteryisfullychargedifthebatteryindicatorshows
greenwhentheacpoweradapterispluggedin.
•Alwaysusepowermanagementfeaturessuchaspowermodes,screenblank,sleep,andhibernation.
