continuously, it indicates that the drive is faulty and must be replaced; if the green hard disk drive activity LED is flashing, this indicates that the drive is being accessed.
Note: If the server is configured for RAID operation using a RAID controller, you might have to reconfigure the disk arrays after you replace hard disk drives.

This section provides instructions on how to install the riser card. The riser card has a PCI card installed on it.
To install the riser card, do the following:
Note: Use any documentation that comes with the riser card and follow those instructions in addition to the instructions in this section.
1.Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the server. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the server.
2.Remove the server cover. See “Removing the server cover” on page 42.
3.Locate the appropriate PCI slot on the system board for installing the riser card. See “Locating parts on the system board” on page 32.
