Removing and replacing a FRU
For a model with a touch pad, detach the touch pad
connector by pulling the tab with your fingers in the
direction of arrow	. Then remove the palm rest in the
direction of arrow	. For other models, skip step	.

When installing: On a model with a touch pad, make

sure that connector is firmly attached.

Note for LG-IBM models (Korea) in T40/T40p series:

New palm rest FRU is shipped with the LG-IBM logo plate. When you replace the palm rest, you need to stick the LG-IBM logo plate as shown in this figure.
