Channel Memory

Programming Channels

Although your VCR automatically memo-
rizes the channels you receive when you
turn it on for the first time, this function
lets you reprogram channels.

Press the MENU button to bring up the
main menu display.

Press the Number 2 button if you have a
cable. Press the Number 1 button if you
are using an antenna. ON will appear
beside TV or CABLE TV.

Press the Number 3 button to select AUTO
PROGRAMMING. MEMORIZED
CHANNEL /PLEASE WAIT will appear
on-screen. The VCR will place all chan-
nels you receive into its memory.

Wait for a few minutes while the VCR pro-
grams channels. When programming is
complete, AUTO SET COMPLETED will
appear on-screen. Then the lowest channel
number placed in the VCR's memory will
appear on-screen. Now when you press the
CHANNEL (Up/Down) buttons you will
scan only through channels you receive.

Line Input mode will always be stored in the VCR's memory as channel 001
and 002. When you select channel 001 or 002 with the CHANNEL
(Up/Down) buttons, A VREAR or AV FRONT will appear on the screen and L1
or L2 will appear on the display panel of the VCR (see page 19for details).
