Asageneralruleofthumbforoptimumsharpness,werecommendusing1/125 sec.astheminimumshutterspeedforhand-heldshooting.Forlongerexposures (1/60sec.-8sec.),attachthecameratoasturdytripod.

1.Forstandardtripodswitha1/4"screw,thecameramaybedirectlyattached tothetripodasitis.

2.Toattachtotripodswiththelarger3/8”screw,firstunscrewthesmallscrew foundinthebaseofthecamera’stripodsocketbyturningitcounterclockwise. Next,removethe1/4"adapter(A)byinsertingacoinintheslotandturningthe adapterinacounterclockwisedirection.Finally,attachthecameratothe3/8” tripod.

*Ifitisnecessarytocompletelyeliminateallcameramovement,attachcam- eratoatripod,lockthemirrorup,andreleasetheshutterwithacablerelease. *WhenattachedtotheaccessoryRevolvingTripodAdapter,theMamiyaM645 canbeinstantlyrotatedtochangefromverticaltohorizontalformat,orvice

versa.

Therearetwomethodsoftakingtime exposureswiththeMamiyaM64.5.

1.Bysettingtheshutterspeeddialto Bandusingacablereleasewithlock provision.

2.Byremovingthebatteryfromthe batterychamber.

(a) Remove battery.

(b)Settheshutterspeeddialtoany position.

(c)Releasetheshutteranditwilllock intheopenposition.

(d)Depressbatterycheckbuttonasfar asitwillgotocloseshutter.
