With this function, you can find the blank space on each tape and use the space for recording.

Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button. The Menu screen appears. Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select

TAPE MANAGER, then press the OK/STATUS button.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select FIND BLANK SPACE, then press the OK/STATUS button. The list of blank space on each tape appears on the screen with the blank space length sorted.The blank space length is displayed with the current selected tape speed.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select the tape number you want, then press the OK/STATUS button.

If the tape inserted in the VCR corresponds to the required tape number;

The VCR searches and stops when the selected blank space is located.

If the tape inserted in the VCR does not correspond to the required tape number;

"INSERT TAPE 0028 (example)" appears and the tape is ejected. Insert the correct tape.The VCR searches and stop when the selected blank space is located.

If no cassette is inserted in the VCR;

"INSERT TAPE 0028 (example)" appears. Insert the correct tape.The VCR searches and stop when the selected blank space is located.
