Setting the timer

The timer can be used to time an activity separate from the oven.

To set the timer

At the end of the timed period:

a tone sounds for 5 seconds.

the "l" symbol will flash for 1 minute.

The tone and the flashing symbol can be canceled by pressing the "Timer" button.

^Press the "Timer" button.

^Enter the desired time in hours and minutes (up to 23 hrs. 59 mins.) with the "+" button.

When the "+/–" indicator light goes out, the time set starts counting down in minutes.

If the oven is also being used, the remaining time will only show for a short time. Then the oven or probe core temperature will appear again in the display. The "l" symbol will continue to be visible as a reminder that the timer is working.

To cancel the timer

^Press the "Timer" button.

^Use the "–" button to set the timer to "0:00".
