There is no video
on the TV screen Verify that the TV is poweredon and set to the
appropriateinput sourcefor the DCT5100.
Verify that theDCT5100 is poweredon and tuned to an
authorizedcable channel.
Verify that thecoaxial cable feed is firmly connected to
the DCT5100and the wall jack.
TheDCT5100 DVI output may not yet be enabled. Use
the componentvideo (Y Pb Pr) output instead.
If the DCT5100video output is connected to a home
theater unit, v erify that the hom e theater unit is p owered
on and set to the appropriateinput source.
Not all HDTVs can display every o utput format (1 080i,
720p, 480p,or 480i)available on the DCT5100. Enter
the User Settingsm enuand cycle through the available
outputf ormatsuntil a picture displays on the TV.
Verify that all video cables betweenthe DCT5100 and
theTV arefirmly connected.

TheDCT5100 cannot generate graphics on all video
outputsat all tim es.If the DCT5100 is set to 1080i, 720p,
or 480p output format,gr aphicsare only available on the
high definition video outputs(DVI and component video).
If the DCT5100i s sett o 480i, graphicsare available on
all video outputs.
If the DCT5100i s connectedto a st andarddefinition
(SD)TV, verifythat theDCT5100 is configured to use
the 480i output m ode.
Verify that closedcaptions on the DCT5100 have been
enabledin t he User Settingsmenu.
