Accessory Safety Information
Use of a non-recommended attachment to a
battery charger may result in a risk of fire,
electric shock, or injury to pe rsons.
Make sure the battery charger power cord is
located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped
over, or subjected to damage or stress.
An extension cord shou ld not be used with any
battery charger unless absolutely necessary.
Use of an improper extension cord could result
in a risk of fire and electric s hock. If an extension
cord must be used, make sure that :
The pins on the plug of th e extension cord are
the same number, size, and shape as those
on the plug of the charger .
The extension cord is properly wired and in
good electrical condition.
The cord size is 18AWG for lengths up to 100
feet and 16AWG for lengths up to 150 feet.
Do not operate any batte ry charger if it has
received a sharp blow, has been dropped, or
has been damaged in an y way; take it to a
qualified service technician.
Do not disassemble a battery charger; take it
to a qualified service technician when serv ice
or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly
may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
Maximum ambient temperature around the
power supply or transformer of any battery
charger should not exceed 40°C (104°F).
The output power from the power supply or
transformer must not exceed the r ating given
on the Desktop Dual-Pocket Charger.
The disconnection from the li ne voltage is
made by unplugging the power supply from
the AC receptacle.
To reduce risk of electric sh ock, unplug any
battery charger from the outlet be fore
attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
For optimum charging perfor mance, turn off the
radio product while cha rging it in any battery
charger.
