Customizing MMS

The Setup menu lets you customize MMS for your

phone:

•Friendly Name — Enter text here to create a

friendly name. Your friendly name is the name

displayed in the From f ield on other iDEN

phones when they recei ve messages from you.

•Signature — Enter text here to c reate a

signature. Your signature is t ext that is

automatically inserted at the end of all

messages you create. You can edit the text

before sending the mess age.

•Quick Notes — lets you creat e new Quick

Notes and edit or delet e Quick Notes you have

created.

• Replies — lets you create new reply phr as es

and edit or delete reply phrase s yo u have

created.

•Cleanup — controls how long me ssages remain

in the Inbox and Sent Items befor e they are

deleted. See “Setting th e Clean-up Option” on

page 87.

To access the Setup menu:

1From the main menu, select Messages.

2With [Create Message] highlighted, press m.

3Select Setup.

Tip:This o ption is available from many

context-sensitive menus when you are

using MMS.

New Quick Notes and Reply Phrases

Creating

1From the Setup menu, select Quick Notes or

Replies.

2Select [New Quicknote] or [New Reply]. -or-

Press A under New.

3Enter text from the keypad.

4When you are finished, press O.

Editing

You can edit only Quick Notes and reply phrases

you have created.

1From the Setup menu, select Quick Notes or

Replies.

2Select the Quick Note or reply phrase you want

to edit.

3Edit the text.
