Press and hold * until the letter W appears. The
W means your phone wai ts before dialing
further.
If you store 17035551235W1234, when you select
this number and make a call, your phone dials the
first 11 digits and then waits. A message appears
asking if you want to send the rest of the digits.
Press A under Yes to dial the last 4 digits.
Tip:You can create pau se s an d w ai ts wh il e
dialing a number from the keypad. See
“Creating Pauses and Waits While Di al ing ”
on page 41.
International Numbers
Note:This feature may not be offered by your
service provider.
When storing a number that you plan to use fo r
international calls, use Plus Dialing:
1Press and hold 0 for two seconds. A “0”
appears, then changes to a “+”.
Note:The n etwork translates the “ +” into the
appropriate internatio nal access code
needed to place the ca ll.
2Enter the country code, city code or a rea code,
and phone number.

Making Calls From Contacts

While Viewing the Contacts List

1Access Contacts.
2Scroll to the name or number you wan t to call.
Tip:To find Contacts entries faster, use the
keypad to enter the first letter of the name.
3To place the call n ow, go to step 4. -or-
Scroll left or right to display the Contac ts type for
the number you want to call.
4To make a phone call, press s. -or-
To make a Private call, press the PTT button.
If you are making a Private call, your phone places
the call to the Private ID stored in the Contacts
entry, even if the Private icon is not displayed.
If you are making a ph one call:
Your phone places the call to the phone number
assigned to the Contacts type displayed.
If the Contacts type displayed is no t a phone
number, your phone places the call to the phone
number stored in the C ontacts entry.
