RF Pass-Through Retrofit Kit

The RF Pass-Through Retrofit Kit allows the user to use the ML910 RF Pass-Through on a ML900TM Vehicle Docking Station (applicable for both High-Tier and Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station). The RF Pass-Through Retrofit Kit is also backward compatible with the ML910 Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station so that the RF Pass -Through option can be added to a ML910 Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station.

ML910 High-Tier Vehicle Docking Station

Dock the ML910 Rugged Laptop on the ML910 High-Tier Vehicle Docking Station. Turn ON the Power Switch on the Vehicle Docking Station. Ensure the ML910 Rugged Laptop is securely docked on the ML910 High-Tier Vehicle Docking Station. The ML910 Rugged Laptop should have the RF Pass-Through and Wireless options available in order to use the external antenna.

For ML910 High-Tier Vehicle Docking Station, the RF Pass-Through will switch automatically when t he ML910 Rugged Laptop is being docked. The user does not need to make any changes in order to use the external antenna. Ensure the external antennas are attached to the Vehicle Docking Station before the ML910 Rugged Laptop is docked to the Vehicle Docking Station.

ML910 Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station

The ML910 Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station does not provide the RF Pass-Through feature on the Vehicle Docking Station itself. The wireless capability will be discontinued when the ML910 Rugged Laptop (with RF Pass-Through and Wireless Options) is docked to the ML910 Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station. The ML910 Rugged Laptop internal antenna will be disabled whenever it is docked to the Vehicle Docking Station (applicable for both ML910 High-Tier and Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station).

If the user wishes to use the internal WWAN Module or GPS Module, anRF Pass-Through Retrofit Kit must be installed on the ML910 Mid-Tier Vehicle Docking Station. The user does not need to make any selection on MLUA to enable the RF Pass-Through after the Retrofit Kit has been installed. The ML910 Rugged Laptop will configure the RF Pass-Through automatically.

If the user wishes to use the internal antenna for the internal WWAN Module or GPS, RF Pass-Through must be disabled using the RF Pass-Through tab options in the ML User Application (MLUA) on the ML910 Rugged Laptop.
