Receiving Messages
If your phone is ON and you receive a Voice Mail, MiniBrowser alert, or alphanumeric message:
•An alert sounds or vibrates:
Your phone will beep or vibrate three times.
See Ringer or Vibrator Selection on page 77 to set your phone’s alert. See page 79 to learn about Reminder Tones.
•An indicator appears on the display:
Appears on the lower line of the display when you receive an alphanumeric message. It will stay on the display until you have read the message.
Msg Mem Low Appears when your phone’s message memory is almost full (at approximately 85% capacity).
Msg Mem Full Appears in the main display when the message memory is completely full and your phone is in idle mode.
Appears on the bottom line of the display when you receive a Voice Mail message. It will stay on the display until you have listened to the message. Your Service Provider will then signal your phone to turn the indicator OFF.
•Press ¿ to open the Messaging Menu:
When you open the Messaging Menu, the icon of the message type you received will be flashing.
