1Register a subject.

To cancel subject registration, press the kbutton.

If the camera can no longer track the registered subject, the focus area disappears. Register the subject again.

2Press the shutter-release button fully to take the picture.

If the shutter-release button is pressed while the focus area is not displayed, the camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame.

B Notes About Subject Tracking

If you perform operations such as zooming while the camera is tracking the subject, the registration is canceled.

Subject tracking may not be possible in certain shooting conditions.
