Regardless of the option selected for Image area in the shooting menu (0 63), all

movies and photographs recorded in movie live view (0 161) have an aspect ratio of 16 : 9. Selecting 1.3× (18×12), however, reduces the angle of view and increases the apparent focal length of the lens. A cicon is displayed when 1.3× (18×12) is

selected.

Image quality is determined by the option selected for Image quality in the shooting menu (0 66).
