DMovie Options

Display the shooting mode screen MPress the dbutton MD(Movie menu) (A75) M DMovie options

The movie menu offers the options shown below. As resolution and bit rate increase, image quality and file size also increase.

Option	Description
xHD 720p (1280 × 720)	Movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded in high
(default setting)	definition. This option is suited to playback on a wide screen TV.
	• Image size: 1280 × 720 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 9.0 Mbps
	Movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded.
yVGA (640 × 480)	• Image size: 640 × 480 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 3.0 Mbps
	Movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded.
zQVGA (320 × 240)	• Image size: 320 × 240 pixels

•Movie bitrate: 640 kbps

•The movie bitrate is the volume of movie data recorded per second. As a variable bitrate (VBR) system has been adopted, the movie recording rate varies automatically according to the subject so that more data is recorded per second for movies containing frequently moving subjects, thus increasing movie file size.

•The frame rate is approximately 30 frames per second in any options.

All figures are approximate. The maximum recording time varies depending on the type of memory card used, the bit rate of recorded movies, etc.

*The maximum recording time for each movie is 29 minutes. Even if the memory card has capacity to record for more than 29 minutes, the camera displays no more than 29 minutes as the available recording time.
