Features That Cannot Be Used Simultaneously
Some shooting settings cannot be used with other functions.
Restricted function Option Descriptions
Flash mode
Continuous (A48) When Continuous, BSS, or Multi-shot 16 is
selected, the flash cannot be used.
Blink proof (A45) When Blink proof is set to On, the flash cannot be
used.
Self-timer Smile timer (A45) When Smile timer is used for shooting, the self-
timer cannot be used.
Digital zoom Continuous (A48) When Multi-shot 16 is selected, digital zoom
cannot be used.
Image mode Continuous (A48)
When Multi-shot 16 is selected, the Image mode
setting is fixed at L (image size: 2560 × 1920
pixels).
White balance Color options
(A48)
When using Black-and-white, Sepia, or
Cyanotype, the White balance setting is fixed at
Auto.
Continuous Self-timer (A53) When using the self-timer, Continuous is fixed at
Single.
Electronic VR Continuous (A48) When Continuous, BSS, or Multi-shot 16 is
selected, Electronic VR is disabled.
Motion detection Continuous (A48) When Multi-shot 16 is selected, Motion
detection is disabled.
Shutter sound Continuous (A48) When Continuous, BSS, or Multi-shot 16 is
selected, the shutter sound is not heard.
