Recording Movies

You can record movies by simply pressing the b (emovie-record) button.

•When no memory card is inserted (i.e., when using the camera’s internal memory), Movie options (A81, E38) is set to mVGA (640×480). nHD 720p (1280×720) cannot be selected.

1Display the shooting screen.

•The icon for the selected movie option is displayed. The default setting is nHD 720p (1280×720) (A 81).

•When recording movies, the angle of view (i.e., the area visible in the frame) is narrower compared to that of still images.

2 Press the b(emovie-record) button to start movie recording.

• The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame. Focus areas are not displayed during recording.

•When nHD 720p (1280×720) is selected for Movie options, monitor display changes to an aspect ratio of 16:9 with movie recording.

•If Photo info in the Monitor settings (A 86) in the setup menu is set to Movie frame+auto info, the area that will be visible in the movie can be confirmed before movie recording starts.

•Cis displayed while saving to the internal memory.
