Camera settings are automatically optimized for the selected scene type. The following scene modes are available.

3Frame the subject and take a picture.

For scene modes that use the flash, be sure to press the m (flash pop-up) button to raise the flash before shooting.

DImage Mode

Press the d button in scene mode to change the combination of image quality (compression) and image size in Image mode (A 54). If the image mode setting is changed, the new image mode setting is also applied to other shooting modes (except sport continuous).

DViewing the Description of Each Scene (Help)

Choose a scene type from the scene selection screen (step 2) and rotate the zoom control (A 4) to

 

g (j) to view a description of that scene. To return to the original screen, rotate the zoom control

 

to g (j) again.
