Protect selected images from accidental deletion. Use the image selection screen to turn protection on and off for selected images (see “Selecting Multiple Images” (A 73) for more information).

Note, however, that formatting the camera’s internal memory or the memory card will permanently erase protected files (A 117).

Protected images can be identified by the sicon (A 9, 64) in playback mode.
