Safeguarding Valuable Pictures: Protect

Selecting Protect from the playback menu displays the menu shown at right, where you can select pictures to protect from accidental deletion. Pro- tected files can not be deleted using the ( ) button or the options in the Delete menu. Note, however, that protected pictures will be deleted when a memory card is formatted.

Highlight picture

Press multi selector up or down to se- lect picture. Selected pictures are

marked by icon. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to select additional pictures. To deselect picture, highlight and press multi selector up or down.

Press center of multi selector to complete operation. To exit without changing pro- tected status of pictures, press MENU but- ton.
