Select one of 99 focus areas in the

Focus area

 

monitor. This option is suited to

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

situations in which the intended subject

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

is relatively still and not positioned at the

 

 

 

 

center of the frame.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Press the multi selector H, I, J, or K

 

 

 

 

to move the focus area to the position

•Before making any of the settings

below, press the kbutton to cancel the focus-area selection.

-Flash mode

-Macro mode, self-timer, or exposure compensation

When the settings are complete, press the kbutton again to reactivate the focus-area selection.

The camera focuses on the subject at the center of the frame. The center focus area is always displayed.
