BNote About Using the Flash

The flash may be unable to light the entire subject at distances of less than 50 cm (1 ft 8 in.).

CAutofocus

When taking still pictures in macro mode, the camera continuously adjusts the focus until the shutter-release button is pressed halfway to lock the focus. Therefore, the sound of lens focus motor can be heard.

CThe Macro Mode Setting

Macro mode cannot be used depending on the shooting mode. See “Default Settings” (A62) for more information.

Some functions cannot be used with other menu options (A66).

The macro mode setting applied in A (auto) mode is stored in the camera’s memory even after the camera is turned off.
