Adjusting Brightness (Exposure Compensation)

Exposure compensation is used to alter exposure from the value suggested by the camera to make images brighter or darker.

1 Tap the exposure compensation icon.

To make the image brighter, apply positive (+) exposure compensation.

To make the image darker, apply negative (–) exposure compensation.

You can also drag the slider to change the value.

If no operations are performed for a few seconds, the monitor display returns to the shooting screen.

To exit the setting screen without taking a picture, tap

J.

To cancel the exposure compensation, return to step 1, revert the value to 0, and tap J.

CExposure Compensation Value

The exposure compensation value applied in A(auto) mode is stored in the camera’s memory even after the camera is turned off.
