Special Effects Mode (Applying Effects When Shooting)

Effects can be applied to images during shooting.

The 5 effects listed below are available.

Soft

Nostalgic sepia

High-contrast

Category

 

Description

OSoft

 

 

Softens the image by adding a slight blur to the entire image.

(default setting)

 

 

 

PNostalgic sepia

Adds a sepia tone and reduces the contrast to simulate the

qualities of an old photograph.

 

 

 

FHigh-contrast

 

Changes the image to black and white and gives it sharp

monochrome

 

contrast.

GHigh key

 

 

Gives the entire image a bright tone.

HLow key

 

 

Gives the entire image a dark tone.

Changing Special Effects Mode Settings

You can change the settings for the flash mode, self-timer, macro mode, and exposure compensation. See “Basic Shooting Settings” (A43) for more information.

Press the d button (A2) to display the available menu options in special effects mode. See “Shooting Menu Options” (A53) for more information.
