Adjusting Brightness (Exposure Compensation)

Exposure compensation is used to alter exposure from the value suggested by the camera to make images brighter or darker.

1Tap the exposure compensation icon.

2Tap or drag the slider to change the exposure compensation value.

To make the image brighter, apply positive

(+) exposure compensation.

To make the image darker, apply negative (–) exposure compensation.

3Press the shutter-release button to take an image.

To exit the setting screen without taking an image, tap I.

To cancel the exposure compensation, return to step 1, restore the value to [0], and tap I.

CExposure Compensation Value

The exposure compensation value applied in A (auto) mode (A31) is stored in the camera’s memory even after the camera is turned off.
