Select the options for recording movies.

Larger image sizes and faster movie bitrates mean greater image quality and larger movie file sizes.

•When recording normal speed movies, dHD 1080pP(1920×1080), e

HD 1080p (1920×1080), fHD 720p (1280×720), piFrame 540 (960×540), and gVGA (640×480) are available.

•When recording HS movies, kHS 240 fps (320×240), hHS 120 fps (640×480), iHS 60 fps (1280×720), and jHS 15 fps (1920×1080) are available.

Type	Description
dHD 1080pP	Movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded in Full HD. This
(1920×1080)	option is suited to playback on a TV that supports Full HD.
	• Image size: 1920 × 1080 pixels
(default setting)
	• Movie bitrate: 14 Mbps
eHD 1080p	Movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded in Full HD. This
	option is suited to playback on a TV that supports Full HD.
(1920×1080)	• Image size: 1920 × 1080 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 12 Mbps
fHD 720p	Movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded in high definition.
	This option is suited to playback on a wide screen TV.
(1280×720)	• Image size: 1280 × 720 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 9 Mbps
	Movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded. A format
	supported by Apple Inc.
	• Image size: 960 × 540 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 24 Mbps
piFrame 540	• Still images cannot be saved during movie recording (A142),
(960×540)	and movies cannot be edited (A153).
	• When recording movies to the internal memory, recording may
	stop unexpectedly in some shooting conditions. When recording
	movies of important events, recording to a memory card (class 6
	or higher) is recommended.

Movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded.

gVGA (640×480) • Image size: 640 × 480 pixels

•Movie bitrate: 640 kbps

	1/8-speed slow motion movies with a 4:3 aspect ratio are recorded.
kHS 240 fps	• Max. recording time*: 10 seconds (playback time: 80 seconds)
(320×240)	•	Image size: 320 × 240 pixels
	•	Movie bitrate: 640 kbps
