Step 4 Playing Back and Deleting Images

Deleting Unwanted Images

1Press the lbutton to delete the image currently displayed in the monitor.

To exit without deleting, press the dbutton.

2Press the rotary multi selector Hor Ito

choose the desired deletion method and press the kbutton.

Current image: Only the current image or voice memo

(A126) is deleted. If the key picture of a sequence group (A92) is selected, all images in the group are deleted.

Erase selected images: Multiple images can be selected and deleted.

“Operating the Erase Selected Images Screen” All images: All images are deleted.

Basic Photography and

3Press Hor Ito choose Yes and press the k button.

Deleted images cannot be recovered.

To cancel, press Hor Ito select No and press the k button.

Playback: A (Auto) Mode

Operating the Erase Selected Images Screen

1Press the rotary multi selector Jor Kto choose an image to be deleted and press Hto add yto the image and mark it for deletion.

To undo the selection, press Ito remove y.

Rotate the zoom control (A4) to g(i) to switch back to full-frame playback or f(h) to display thumbnails.

2Add yto all desired images and then press the kbutton to confirm the selection.

A confirmation dialog is displayed. Follow the instructions displayed in the monitor.

BNotes on Deletion

Deleted images cannot be restored. Transfer important images to a computer before deleting them.

Protected images cannot be deleted (A122).

Deleting images captured with the continuous shooting feature “Deleting Images in a Sequence” (A93)

CDeleting the Last Image Captured While in Shooting Mode

In shooting mode, press the lbutton to delete the last image captured.
