Tips and Notes on the Scene Mode

When you point the camera at the subject, the camera automatically recognizes the optimum scene mode from the list below and adjusts the shooting settings accordingly.

Portrait (for taking close-up portraits of one or two people)

Other scenes

The focus area depends on the composition of the image. When the camera detects a human face, it focuses on that face (E16).

Depending on shooting conditions, the camera may not select the desired scene mode. In this case, select another shooting mode (A20).
