42.18Restore local settings

Use this to restore your local settings if the data has been corrupted. Local settings apply only to the display unit that you are currently using. To restore your local settings:

1.Select Display.

2.Select Setup from the control panel.

3.Select + Restore to display a list of system options.

4.Select Restore Local Settings.

5.The 8000i displays the Restore Local Settings box with a list of the local backups for all the display units in the 8000i networked system.

6.Select either:

ƒthe backup that you want to restore, then select Restore Selected Backup, then select OK to confirm.

ƒRestore Factory Defaults to restore the local settings to the factory defaults, then select OK to confirm.

7.Select OK again.

8.When you are finished, select Return, then select – Restore.

42.19Gray screen with message: "Master" name unavailable

If the master unit is NOT operating, all the other display units will show a gray screen with the message "Master ‘‘name’’ unavailable".

Locate and turn On the master unit. (The master unit MUST be operating in order for the other processors to function with Chart, Radar, Sounder, and 3D Chart.)
