18.7Change the range shift

To adjust the range shift:

1.Display the Sounder screen and the control panel. If you can't see the

Range, Zoom and Split button, select Return.

2.Select Range, Zoom and Split.

3.The Range Shift button shows the current setting. Select the button if you want to change the setting.

4.The current range shift is shown in the control panel. Select:

ƒShallower to view a different part of the water column, closer to the surface

ƒDeeper to view a different part of the water column, closer to the bottom

5.The new setting is applied immediately and stays until you change it again. Select OK to confirm the new setting.

NOTE: If you select Vessel, the upper value of the range shift resets to 0 automatically.

Range is the vertical extent shown on the Sounder screen. You can increase or decrease the range.

To change the range:

1.Display the Sounder screen and the control panel. If you can't see the

Range, Zoom and Split button, select Return.

2.Select Range, Zoom and Split. The depth column shows the current range. Use the keys on the remote keypad or on your display processor to select:

ƒOut if you want to increase the range

ƒIn if you want to decrease the range

3.The new setting is applied immediately and stays until you change it again.
