Puede añadir audio a las grabaciones de vídeo grabando simultáneamente audio y vídeo desde dos fuentes separadas. Esto es posible porque sólo la fuente de audio cambia cuando está seleccionada una fuente de solo audio, como TAPE, FM/AM, o CD, mientras la fuente de vídeo permanece la misma.

En el ejemplo siguiente, el audio del reproductor de CDs conectado al jack CD IN, y el vídeo de la vídeo cámara conectado al jack DVD IN VIDEO se graban mediante el VCR, conectado a su vez a los jacks VIDEO OUT.
