Lock Setup

With this preference, you can protect your settings by locking the setup menus.

When “Locked” is selected, the setup menus will be locked and you cannot change any setting.

Using the Audio Settings

You can change various audio settings from the Home menu (page 43).

Press RECEIVER followed by HOME.

Use q/wand ENTER to select “Audio”, and then

 

use q/w/e/rto make the desired selection.

Note

These settings are not available in either of the following cases:

the “Audio TV Out” setting is set to “On” (page 66).

HDMI Control(RIHD)” is set to “On” (page 66) and you’re listening through your TV speakers.

Sound Program

With this setting, you can select the combination of settings that you registered in “Sound Program Edit” (page 58).

Note

This setting is not available when the multichannel analog input is selected.

If the input selector is changed, the “Sound Program” setting is switched back to “Off”.

Tone Control Settings

Bass

`–10dBto 0dB to +10dB in 2 dB steps.

You can boost or cut low-frequency sounds output.

Treble

`–10dBto 0dB to +10dB in 2 dB steps.

You can boost or cut high-frequency sounds output. You can adjust the bass for the front, front wide, front high, center, surround, surround back and subwoofer speakers and treble for the front, front wide, front high, center, surround and surround back speakers, except when the Direct, Pure Audio or THX listening mode is selected.

Operating on the AV receiver

Press TONE repeatedly to select either “Bass” or

 

“Treble” for each speaker or subwoofer.

Use + and to adjust.

This setting is not available when the multichannel analog input is selected.

Speaker Levels

Subwoofer 1

`–15.0dBto 0.0dB to +12.0dB in 0.5 dB steps.

Subwoofer 2*1

`–15.0dBto 0.0dB to +12.0dB in 0.5 dB steps.

Center

`–12.0dBto 0.0dB to +12.0dB in 0.5 dB steps.

You can adjust the volume of each speaker while listening to an input source.

These temporary adjustments are cancelled when the AV receiver is set to standby. To save the setting you made here, go to “Level Calibration” (page 54) before setting the AV receiver to standby.

Note

You cannot use these functions while the AV receiver is muted.

These settings cannot be used while a pair of headphones is connected.

Speakers that are set to “No” or “None” in

“Speaker Configuration” (page 52) cannot be adjusted.

*1 If the “Subwoofer” setting is set to “1ch”, this setting cannot be selected (page 52).
