Controlling the AV Receiver/AV Amplifier

To control the AV receiver/AV amplifier, press the [RECEIVER] button to select Receiver mode.

You can also use the remote controller to control your DVD player, CD player, and other components.

See page 102 for more details.

Selects the multichannel DVD input.

gLISTENING MODE buttons (62)

Used to select the listening modes.

hDIMMER button (55)

Adjusts the display brightness.

iDISPLAY button (55)

Displays information about the current input source.

jMUTING button (56)

Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver/AV amplifier.

kVOL [q]/[w] button (54)

Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver/AV amplifier regardless of the currently selected remote control- ler mode.

lRETURN button

Returns to the previous display when changing set- tings.

mAUDIO button (83)

Used to change audio settings.

When the “Audio TV Out” setting is set to “On” (page 93), this button is disabled.

nSLEEP button (56)

Used with the Sleep function.

Controlling the tuner (TX-SR706 only)

To control the AV receiver’s tuner, press the [TUNER] (or [RECEIVER]) button.

You can select AM or FM by pressing the [TUNER] but- ton repeatedly.

Used to tune into radio stations.

Used to select radio stations directly.

3D.TUN button (57)

Selects the Direct tuning mode.

4DISPLAY button

Displays information about the band, frequency, preset number, and so on.
