Shooting in Scene Mode

Shooting in the Scene Mode Selected by the Camera (Scene Auto Selector)

By simply framing a picture, the camera automatically selects the optimum scene mode for simpler shooting. When the camera is aimed at a subject in xscene auto selector mode, the camera automatically selects one of the following scene modes.

•Auto mode (A22)

•Landscape (A36)

•Night landscape (A38)

•Backlight (A41)

•Portrait (A36)

•Night portrait (A37)

•Close-up (A39)

Shooting Suited for the Scenes

1Display the shooting-mode selection menu by pressing the A button in shooting mode, and use

the rotary multi selector to choose xScene auto selector (A35).

•Scene auto selector will be enabled.

2 Frame the subject and take the picture.

• When the camera automatically selects a scene mode,
the shooting mode icon changes to that for the scene
mode currently enabled.

•Press the shutter-release button halfway to set focus and exposure.

•Press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down to take the picture.
