Connecting to Your Computer
The following methods can be used to connect the CF-P1 with a computer.
The use of a Serial Autosync Cable or USB Autosync Cable.
The use of the infrared communication port.
Use an RS-232C Cable or a USB Adaptor Cable to connect CF-P1 with a peripheral.

Using a Cable

Follow the steps below when attempting to sync the CF-P1 with a computer.
1Setting up the CF-P1.
(1) Tap, in order, [Start]-[Settings]-[Control Panel]-[Communications]-[PC Connection]-
[Change Connection…] and then select the connection type (serial port or USB port),
then tap [OK].
(2) At [Communications Properties], tap [OK].
(3) Tap, in order, [Start]-[Run...] and then type from the keyboard "autosync -go" , then
tap [OK].
(4) At [autosync], tap [OK].
2Install ActiveSync in your computer and make your connection settings on
the computer. (You can download ActiveSync from the WEB.)
3Follow the steps below when using the USB autosync cable to sync.
(1) Download the USB driver "wceusbsh.inf" into the "inf" folder of your computer. (To
download the driver, access "HTTP:\\www.panasonic.com\toughbook" web site, or
contact the Panasonic Technical Support at 1-800-LAPTOP5.)
(2) Connect the USB autosync cable to the CF-P1 and the computer, and then follow the
"Hardware Setup Wizard" on the computer.
4After the "Hardware Setup Wizard" is complete CF-P1 sync by using the
ActiveSync program.
For information about the ActiveSync, refer to the Microsoft ActiveSync Help.
Be sure to connect/disconnect the cable after the CF-P1and the computer have been
turned off.
