Preparation

1:Close the card/battery door.2:Slide the release lever in the direction of the arrow.

•If the card/ba t tery door canno t be completel y

closed, remove the card, check its direction and

then insert it again.

Note

•Remove the battery after use. Store th e removed battery in the batter y c as e (supplied).

•Do not remove the battery until the LCD monitor and the status in dicator (green) turn off as the

settings on the camera may not be s tored properly.

•The supplied battery is desig ned only for the camera. Do not us e it with any other equipment.

•Before removing the card or ba ttery, turn the camera off, and wait until the s tatus indicator has

gone off completely. (Otherwise, this unit may no longer operate normally and the card itself

may be damaged or the recorded pictures may be lost.)

∫Using an AC adaptor (op tional) and a DC coupler ( optional) instead of the ba ttery

Ensure that the AC adaptor (DMW-AC5PP;

optional) and DC coupler (DMW-DCC4; optional)

are purchased in a set. D o not use if sold

separately.

1Open the card/battery door.

2Insert the DC coupler, being careful of the

direction.

3Close the card/battery door.

•Ensure that the card/bat te ry door is closed.

4Open the DC coupler cover A.

5Plug the AC adaptor into an electrical outlet.

6Connect the AC adaptor B to the [DC IN] sock et

C of the DC coupler.

D Align the marks and insert.

•Ensure that only the AC ad aptor and DC coupler for thi s

camera are used. Using any other equipment may

cause damage.

Note

•Always use a genuine Panaso nic AC adaptor (DMW-AC5PP; option al).

•Some tripods cannot be attache d when the DC coupler is connec te d.

•This unit cannot be stood upri ght when the AC adaptor is connec ted. When placing it down and

operating, we recommend pl a cing it on a soft cloth.

•Make sure to unplug the AC adapt or when you open the card/batte ry door.

•If the AC adaptor and DC coupler are not necessary, then remove them from the digital

camera. Also, pl ease keep the DC co upler cover close d.

•Also read the operating ins tructions for the AC adaptor an d DC coupler.
