Note

•Dynamic tracking function may fail to lock, l o se the subj ec t in AF trac ki n g, or trac k different

subject depending on the re co rding conditions such as the ones below.

–When the subject is too small

–When the recording location is too dark or bright

–When the subject is moving too fas t

–When the background has the sam e or similar color to the subject.

–When jitter is occurring

–When using the zo om

•If it fails to lock, AF area will flas h in red, and disappear. Press 4 again.

•AF Tracking will not operate when t he subject is not specified, the su bject is lost, or has failed

to be tracked. The picture will be taken with [Ø] in [AF MODE] in that case.

•[QUICK AF] will not operate during AF tracking.

•It is not pos sible to se t [ ] in [STARRY SKY ], [FIREWOR KS], [PIN HOL E], [FILM GRAIN], or

in the Motion pict ure mode.

•It is not possible to set [ ] in [B/W], [SEPIA], [COOL], or [WARM] in [COLORMODE].

•The focus range is 5 cm (0. 17 feet) (Wide)/1 m (3.28 feet) (Tele) to ¶.

As long as the camera i s held steady, the camera will au tomatically adjust the fo cus and

focus adjustment will then be quicker whe n the shutter is presse d. This is useful when you

do not want to miss a pic ture-taking opportunity.
