Pictures (Advanced Scene Mode)

You can take high-quality pictures of such subjects as people, scenery, sporting events and activities, people in night scenes and flowers in accordance with the surrounding conditions.

Set the mode dial.

Press 3/4 to select the Advanced Scene Mode.

•If you press [DISPLAY] when selecting an Advanced Scene Mode, explanations about each Advanced Scene Mode are displayed.

Press [MENU/SET] to set.

Note

•Return to above step 2 after pressing the [MENU/SET] to change the Advanced Scene Mode.

[PORTRAIT]

The person stands out from the background and has a healthier complexion.

[NORMAL PORTRAIT]	[OUTDOOR PORTRAIT]
[SOFT SKIN]	[INDOOR PORTRAIT]

∫Technique for Portrait Mode To make this mode more effective:

1 Rotate the zoom lever as far as possible to Tele.

2 Move close to the subject to make this mode more effective.

Note

•Shutter speed may slow down up to 1 second in [INDOOR PORTRAIT].

•When [SOFT SKIN] is selected, if a part of the background etc. is a colour close to skin colour, this part is also smoothed.

•When [SOFT SKIN] is selected, this mode may not be effective when there is insufficient brightness.
