The indicated zoom magnification is an approximation.

“EZ” is an abbreviation of “Extra Optical Zoom”. It is possible to take more magnified pictures with the optical zoom.

The lens barrel extends or retracts according to the zoom position. Take care not to interrupt the motion of the lens barrel while the zoom lever is rotated.

When you rotate the zoom lever, you may hear some sound from the camera or the camera may shake. This is not a malfunction.

When using the Digital Zoom, we recommend using a tripod and the Self-timer (P75) for taking pictures.

The Intelligent Zoom cannot be used in the following cases.

In [MOTION DEBLUR] in Intelligent Auto Mode

When burst speed is set to [ 40 ] or [ 60 ]

In [PIN HOLE] in Creative Control Mode

In [HANDHELD NITE SHOT] in [NIGHT PORTRAIT]

In [HIGH SENS.], [FLASH BURST] or [3D PHOTO MODE] in Scene Mode

The Extra Optical Zoom cannot be used in the following cases.

In [MOTION DEBLUR] in Intelligent Auto Mode

When burst speed is set to [ 40 ] or [ 60 ]

In [PIN HOLE] in Creative Control Mode

In [HIGH SENS.], [FLASH BURST], [PHOTO FRAME], [HIGH SPEED VIDEO] or [3D PHOTO MODE] in Scene Mode

When recording motion pictures

When [QUALITY] is set to [ ], [ ] or [ ]

[DIGITAL ZOOM] cannot be used in the following cases.

In Intelligent Auto Mode

When burst speed is set to [ 40 ] or [ 60 ]

In [PIN HOLE], [FILM GRAIN] or [MINIATURE EFFECT] in Creative Control Mode

In [HANDHELD NITE SHOT] in [NIGHT PORTRAIT]
