u[VOLUME]

Adjust the volume of the speaker to any of 7 levels.

When you connect the camera to a TV, the volume of the TV speakers does not change.

[CUST. SET MEM.]

Up to 3 current camera settings can be registered as custom settings.

[Fn BUTTON SET]

Certain of the menus can be assigned to the 4 button. You may find it convenient to register a menu that you often use.

[PHOTO STYLE]/[ASPECT RATIO]/[QUALITY]/ [METERING MODE]/[WHITE BALANCE]/[I.DYNAMIC]/ [GUIDE LINE]/[ REC AREA]/[REMAINING DISP.]

Refer to P108 for details about the [REC] Mode menu.

[SIDE LEVER]

Switches the function of the side lever to zoom or to adjust focus when the unit is set to Manual Focus.

[ZOOM]:

Control the zoom by sliding the side lever. (P64)

[FOCUS]:

Adjusts the focus when the unit is set to Manual Focus. (P73) Sliding the side lever when AF is locked (when the shutter button is pressed halfway, or AF is locked with [AF/AE LOCK]) will slightly adjust the focus when the unit is set to Auto Focus.

The focus cannot be slightly adjusted with AF locked when recording motion pictures in Intelligent Auto Mode.

[LCD Display]/

[VIEWFINDER]

Brightness, colour, or red or blue tint of the LCD monitor/ viewfinder is adjusted.

1Select the settings by pressing 3/4, and adjust with 2/1 or the rear dial.

2Press [MENU/SET] to set.

It will adjust the LCD monitor when the LCD monitor is in use, and the viewfinder when the viewfinder is in use.

Some subjects may appear differently from actuality on the LCD monitor/viewfinder. However, this does not affect the recorded pictures.
