(Program AE Mode)

Recording Mode:

The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and the aperture value according to the brightness of the subject.

You can take pictures with greater freedom by changing various settings in the [Rec] menu.

The shutter speed is automatically set between about 20 seconds and 1/4000th of a second in the following cases.

When the [Sensitivity] is set to [ISO160].

When the aperture value is set to F3.5 [when the interchangeable lens (H-PS14042, H-FS1442A) is attached].

When the aperture value is set to F4.0 [when the interchangeable lens (H-FS45150) is attached].

3 While the values are displayed (about 10 seconds), perform the Program Shift by rotating the control dial.

During display of the numerical values, each press of the cursor button 3 switches between Program Shift and Exposure Compensation. (P138)

Rotate the control dial to display the [Expo.Meter] B. (P87)

The Program Shift indication A appears on the screen.

To cancel Program Shift, turn the camera off or rotate the control dial until the Program Shift indication disappears.

Program Shift is easily canceled by setting [Fn Button Set] on the [Custom] menu to [One Push AE]. (P94)
