Changing to a New Network When you are not in your home country or region, you may be able to use a
network that you are not directly subscribed to. This is called roaming. Legal
restrictions may not permit roaming in your home region.
The New Network function is used to manually select a network that is avail-
able in your current location.
1From Idle press <, select (Applications
>) Phone Setting > Network >
New Network. Press <
2 Your phone will search for available net-
works
3 Use 4 to select from the list of available
networks. Press <
When the Search Mode is set to Automatic,
the phone will automatically select a new net-
work to maintain optimum network availab ility.
When the Search Mode is set to Manual, you
must select a network yourself from the dis-
played list of available networks. If coverage is
lost another network should be selected.
