Improper reset operation.
Noise during external
paging.
Volume distortion from
external music source.
Speed Dialling or
One-Touch Dialling does
not function.
A proprietary telephone
connected to extension ports

telephone operates.
PROBABLE CAUSEPROBLEM
6-2 Troubleshooting
6.1 While Installing
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Something is wrong with
the printed circuit board
(Extension Card).
Something is wrong with
the connection between the
system and extension.
A telephone with an A-A1
relay is connected.
Something is wrong with
the extension.
Induced noise on the wire
between the system and the
amplifier.
Excessive input level from
external music source.
Wrong programming.
An extension (H, L) port 01
through 08, 09 through 16,
or 17 through 24 may have
been shorted.
Exchange the printed circuit board
with another printed circuit board.
Take the extension and plug it into
the same extension port using a
short telephone cord. If the
telephone works correctly,the
connection between the system and
the extension must be repaired.
Use a 2 wire cord.
Set the A-A1 relay switch on the
telephone to the “OUT” or “OFF”
position.
Take the extension and plug it into
another extension port that is
working. If the telephone does not
work, replace the phone.
Turn the Power Switch “OFF”and
then “ON”.
Use a shielded cable as the
connection wire between the
system and amplifier. A short
shielded cable is recommended.
Decrease the output level of the
external music source by using the
volume control on the music
source.
Enter an exchange line access
number (9 or 0, 81 through 86) in
programming.
Turn the Power Switch “OFF”.
Fix the shorted part, then turn the
Power Switch “ON”.
