Registering a Handset in the Base Unit
You must register the handset in the base unit before use.
•Charge the optional handset batteries for about 4 hours before initial use.
•Make sure that the power is ON (p. 12) and the unit is in the
• Register the handset number within 1 minute. If not registered within 1 minute, press PROG on the handset to cancel the programming mode. Then start again from step 1.

•The number is assigned as the base unit number for the handset.
•While the handset is searching for the base unit, “- ” flashes across on the display.
